We were lucky enough to have four contrabass flutes at this event, which made for a deliciously sombre and melancholic sound for Saint-Saens' Adagio from the Organ Symphony

There were plenty of parts for everyone! In the case of Caldara's Crucifixus parts were only just doubled as it is scored for 17 parts!

We couldn't play everything from Carla's massive pile of music, but we had a lovely variety from what we did play: Telemann, Caldara, and Saint-Saens.

In addition to the whole ensemble playing, there were two short masterclasses: featuring Bach's cello suites played by a bass solo, and a sextet which played Nancy Wood's Chocolate Mousse.
